Funny!! Worth it!!. On expert mode its a decently difficult finding game. However, the story is most unique and funny. Played it with my children and we laughed quite a bit.. I love HOG but I really can't recommend this one.First, the 3D and moving cameras thing... It gave me a headache really. I wouldn't be surprised if people that get motion sickness would get nauseated from playing this game...I didn't like the artistic style of the game... It was just not "pretty" to look at.The cranes and canons parts: You have to guess where to shoot, most of the time it is purely impossible to see where it will end up.The story was poor, after a short while, I couldn't care about the dialogues anymore.Just really not a good game for me.. Good game! Funny!! Worth it!!. I am a hardcore strategy gamer. Sometimes I play adventure or even hidden object for a few minutes, but get pretty sick of them. But this one I will keep coming back to until I finish. The "puzzles" (such as they are) are cute and a bit clever. The cartoonish hidden objects are just enough of a challenge (IMO). The story is pretty funny. It is totally silly, but that is probably actually a "realism" improvement over most such games ("I desperately need to get through that locked internal wooden door, so naturally I hunt for a key in the cluttered bathroom rather than just breaking it down.") I would have to say this is the most fun of the adventure-lite/hidden-object genre I have tried.. I wanted to like this because it was definitely a different sort of experience. The storyline was sort of cute, though bizarre. The HOG scenes were either really easy, challenging, or nigh on impossible. Some things simply were not visible, no matter how I adjusted the view and zoomed in. The puzzles were a mix of too easy, perfect, and... well, pointless. I'm not big on randomly clicking to determine the correct order for multiple games. Overall, the frustration factor tips the scale on the downside for me. It is aggravating to be forced to use a hint for a HOG scene, then STILL not be able to see the item with a beam of light shining on it. Plus, after looking at two of the sets of directions for mini-games, I was unable to close them and acutally play. The only thing that worked was using the skip button, which meant I couldn't play them and got stuck with silver trophies. While I think the idea of a 3D HOG is cool, and the bright colors were a welcome change, there are way too many issues that make it seem like the items were just sort of thrown in there. *My hours are so high because I left the game running while running an errand. About two-three hours would be more accurate.. I got stuck for ages at the level with the cage because the hint was telling me it was in the wagon. It's not. I found the controls clunky and difficult to use. The story was great. I was looking forward to seeing how we manage to rescue the princess and it's funny... but when you don't realise some of the objects are hidden *behind* things so if you don't mouse over the area you'll never know it gets frustrating. The hint is a horizontal beam of light rather than the traditional hidden object sparkling around the area. If you don't click right on the object (and some of them are really thin) then you have to keep clicking until you get it exactly right. I also didn't realise that you needed to turn the map in some areas to see the other side. So, I'd say save your money and bang your head on the desk instead. 2\/5 for playability 4\/5 for storyline. I will probably continue but I'll save it for smaller chunks of time where I hope I will find it more relaxing and less rage inducing.. This HO game had potential, but is very badly executed. Making a 3D HO game is a great idea, but that's where it ends. Instead of expanding on the 3D concept they decided to add annoying and bad content.Aside from the HO games it is packed with tedious unskippable puzzles (unless the skip function is hidden in the ugly interface). The writing is atrocious, luckily you can skip it as fast as possible. The hints are bad and some puzzles not logical. The art is ugly.Very disappointing.. Nice if you are 5-8 years old...... or really really hung over.
